Music From the band Weekend, 1978 -1991

John Neal Crossman: Bass & Vocals, Ken Foster: Keyboards, Dave William Hansford: Drums & Vocals, Carl Stuhff: Guitar & Vocals, and Joel Richards: Guitar & Vocals

"Weekend" was a casual band formed by Dave Hansford and John Crossman in 1979. Originally Dave and John started with a power trio called "PrimeTime" because piano players - good piano players - where hard to find.

PrimeTime was Dave, John, and Carl Stuhff on guitar. Dave booked bands for a local agency in Salt Lake and soon we were scheduling gigs where the power trio concept wasn't going to work, so we searched for a piano player playing with Craig Kalen, Merrill Smith and others alomg the way.

Dave had sat in for another band run by Ken Foster, who played keyboards and soon there after Ken joined Weekend full time and we played together for 10 years years through the 80's.

Eventually Carl went on to pursue his own music direction and Joel Richards, who had played in Ken's band, joined us and we enjoyed many years playing together.

We really enjoyed playing together, but if you've ever seen a movie about bands, you know that things change. We all were and are still friends, but Ken needed more money and was playing more as a trio with his brother, Joel got remarried and decided to work on a career in counciling, and John started his second video business and had to devote unlimited hours to that. Weekend played it's last offical gig in 1991.
